FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 10, 2015 - Most children would benefit from an extra boost of self-esteem. Now adevotional journal can help kids develop greater confidence and overcome the challenges of being bullied! The book, I Know Who I AM - 31 Days Devotional Journal for Kids, was written by a 10-year-old author named Amara Nwanne. It is now available on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Know-Who-Am-Devotional-Journal/dp/1514424479/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1448933380&sr=8-1&keywords=I+Know+Who+I+AM+%E2%80%93+31+Days+Devotional+Journal+for+Kid)

Amara got the idea for this book after she experienced severe bullying. During the Ebola Outbreak, she and her sisters were called “Africans with Ebola” in a mocking, cruel way, and other kids would not sit next to her on the school bus. Some kids refused to shake her and her sisters’ hands at taekwondo lessons, either. She was treated horribly by bullies on an ongoing basis.

Being a resilient and kind child, Amara was determined to overcome bullying by believing in herself and rejecting the negative names that she was called. She was motivated to help boost the self-esteem of other kids and help them overcome bullying themselves.

Amara was inspired to write I Know Who I AM – 31 Days Devotional Journal for Kids after she and her sisters performed “I Know Who I Am” by Sinachat church. According to the Amara, the song boosted her confidence, and she was determined to help other kids declare, claim, and accept who they are.

Amara Nwanne compiled the best daily affirmations with Bible quotations and a journal space to help kids start each day knowing exactly who they are before somebody else tells them otherwise. In that way, the journal helps children start the day in a positive emotional place, which can give them the courage to face any negativity that may come their way later in the day.

Amara explains, “My intention for writing this book is to show kids how to believe in themselves and trust God.”

The book launch party event was on November 21, 2015, at Redeemed Christian Church of God; Tabernacle of Praise in Edgewood, Maryland. Many friends and supporters from different parts of the state and other areas were present for the event, including Professor Adeline Idike from New Jersey, Amara’s teacher Ms. Ross, and fellow students from Open Bible Christian Academy. Children were so excited to get their book signed by the young author.
