Spending hundreds of dollars on disposable razors can be a thing of the past thanks to a Kickstarter campaign by Colombian entrepreneurs: Carlos Villegas, Eder Holguin and Orlando Fuentes.

Carlos Villegas, the inventor behind EverSharp Edge™ was sick of spending hundreds of dollars a year on disposable razors and thought there must be a way to make the blades last much longer than usual, to save money and help save the environment, while having a smoother, improved shaving experience; this is when the idea was born!

“With EverSharp Edge™ the goal is to produce a top-quality razor stand in the form of a ”Jewel for the Bathroom;" a life-long companion that will maintain razors sharp, sterilized and free from corrosion which will save money to the consumer and reduce the waste of natural resources and energy, helping also the environment. EverSharp Edge™ does not need to be plugged to an electrical outlet nor does it need any batteries. It works with a totally safe power energy supply that will surpass several generations. It was designed and made to last. EverSharp Edge™ is an elegant stand that delivers a constant ethereal, yet powerful force field around the razor blades' edge, maintaining the metal molecules realigned as they were in their original sharp state. Also, it doesn't have any moving parts that require maintenance. Since the face of the instrument is permanently sterilized, it's always clean, free from fungus, pathogens or bacteria.

The campaign is looking to raise $50,000 and wants to start production at the beginning of February 2015.
