FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Walton High School senior, Chad Carrodus, could be pinned as one of metro Atlanta’s most influential high school students. He has established a reputation for his entrepreneurial spirit and philanthropic drive. This reputation has earned him a spot on this year’s Georgia Trend 40 Under 40 list. Carrodus is the youngest person to make this year’s list, with the second youngest honorees being 32.

Carrodus is the founder of Atlanta Children’s Charities, which connects youth volunteers with service organizations, and is on the Board of Directors for The Fatherless Daughter Project serving as the youngest member. He also is a private aviation sales coordinator and an accomplished businessperson who has spoken at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School on the landscape of youth entrepreneurship.

“My passion for community service primarily stems from gratitude. I go to a great school, I have a wonderful family, and we have food on the table,” he says “I have all of these gifts, so I need to give back.”

When questioned about how his age impacts success, Carrodus says that now is the time for youth to get involved. With so many resources available to students, he believes his generation should use their age as a platform, not a barrier.

A reception will be held for the honorees and guests at the Fox Theater on October 22.
