For the past 10 years, Cecile Kayirebwa has focused on the writing, transferring from cassettes to CDs, remastering and applying other filters to her works since 1981.

The year 2016 begins with the launch of a new album URUKUMBUZI, digitally distributed by Afro Urban Movement and recorded between Kigali and Brussels where the artist surrounded herself with young minds of creative, technicians, musicians and singers, all Rwandans.

With URUKUMBUZI, Cecile Kayirebwa continues her crusade to protect Rwanda's traditional music and reaffirms the importance of passing on this cultural heritage to new generations.
