Posted June 30, 2017 by alanloyed

Daisi Daniles from Rochdale is not a new name in the world of ski racing. nd her past performance records, as well as her present achievements show that she is nine-days-wonder, either.

She is just another slightly-framed Rochdale-based school girl, who loves travelling, playing with dogs and eating cereals. But well beyond this ordinarily personality, Daisi Daniels has an extraordinary identity. She can, by all means be called one of the next big things to happen in the world of the UK Alpine Ski racing. Born on 20th July, 2002, this pint sized powerhouse has repeatedly proved that one needs not to large in stature to make it great in the world of achievements. What started as a holiday entertainment when she was merely four has now become her passion and vision. The last three years in Daisi’s career has been exceptionally well, leading her bag a number of prestigious trophies.

When talking about her career highlights or favourite moments, Daisi chirps that the whole seasons of 2016 has been her best so far. However, she has also a big handful of rewarding achievements. This includes winning all disciplines at the U-14 British Championships, as well being awarded the Under-14 Super G, Slalom, Giant Slalom, as well as the Combined British Championship. Her name was also highlighted when she was selected to represent the Great Britain consecutively for the 5th time this January!

The ski racer, true to her commitment to excellence, as well as to het fans, maintains her own website where she personally updates about her upcoming events, aims, training sessions and practices. One needs not to delve deep to learn about her achievements. Though she consider 2016 as the luckiest year for her career, the graph that she maintains even in 2017 tends to be extremely impressive. The year started with Daisi joining the B.S.A training in the Aosta Valley. With a rigorous mountain training in this Italian valley, Daisi prepared herself to deliver her best ever performance to participate in the 5th GBR race, which was scheduled in the January-February at Andorra.

She further participated in the 6Th GBR Race, which was held in Topolino this March. February has also been a busy month for Daisi as she competed in the Topolino FIS Childrens Championships from 13th to 17th February. However, March seemed to be the busiest month for the skier. She was seen in the Topolino GB International for the 10th & 11th March 2017, as well as in the U16s Slalom – DNF U16s Giant Slalom. She also joined the Aiglon College Cup on the 16th – 17th March 2017, as well as in the Inter-schools Ski Challenge on the 20th and 21th March 2017. To top them all, Daisi has been awarded the first position in the U16 Delancey British Children’s Alpine Ski Championship, which was held in Tignes, France on this 17th April. Additionally, this student from the prestigious Beech House School in Rochdale has one two medals, each for the Super G and Slalom events. Plus she has been awarded the Giant Slalom.

Her road to success in the championship was however, not a rosy one. She had quite an exciting time during the first day, yet her second run somehow lacked the spark of her previous performance. This might be contributed to the harsh weather that she had to brave through while skiing. Interestingly enough, she completed getting the second position in her first run (she was put behind just by 0.10 seconds), she topped in her second run, thus attaining the U-16 DBS Title.

When it comes to excellence in British Alpine Sports, Daisi Daniels is undoubtedly the ski racer to look for. However, this ace-in-making needs exhaustive training and superior sports equipments to fulfill her aspirations. Expert training for alpine sports is undoubtedly an expensive affair. Hence, Daisi requests one and all for sponsorship. Patronages, be it in any form, is welcomed. Details are available in her personal website.
