The Akshaya Patra Foundation is hosting its annual photography competition 'A Wall of Hope and Joy - 2015' from 24th to 26th of January at Mantri Square Mall, Malleshwaram, Bangalore from 11am - 8pm. The exhibition will feature four distinct concepts: Akshaya Patra's operations processes, an inspiring thematic walk back to childhood, the top entries from the annual Click a Smile contest and Akshaya Patra images taken by famous photographer Vicky Roy.

A Wall of Hope and Joy - 2015 photo exhibition will capture the essence of Akshaya Patra's work by displaying images of the Foundation's mid-day meal programme and its kitchen operations processes. The exhibition will also capture the impact of the programme by featuring pictures of children enjoying the mid-day meal.

Aside from this the exhibition takes viewers on a walk down memory lane, exploring the emotions and experiences of childhood, as captured in the photographs. This section of images organised thematically celebrates the innocence of childhood and features children in all their various moods and complexities. These photographs are divided into five themes - 'A belly full of fun', 'As you like it', 'Moments under a hopeful sky', 'Chasing dreams' and 'Feeding 1.4 million children. Every day'.
The exhibition will also display the top entries from Click a Smile 2014, Akshaya Patra's annual photography competition. This year the contest has seen about 1,500 entries being sent in from professional and amateur photographers across nearly 50 countries in the world. These breath taking, ingenious images are not to be missed.

To cap off this wonderful display Akshaya Patra images taken by renowned photographer Vicky Roy will also be featured in the exhibition. Vicky Roy is known for his project Street Dreams which travelled to London, South Africa and Vietnam. He was also asked to photo document the reconstruction of the World Trade Center in New York City, and is a speaker on TEDx and INK Talks.
