Avianca, which is now the national air carrier of Columbia, was originally founded in 1919 as SCADTA, thus considered the oldest air carrier in Columbia and the second oldest airline in the world. We operate our flights with Bogotá, D.C. as our headquarters and from the El Dorado International Airport as our major hub. Avianca Air includes a cluster of seven airlines of Latin America, operating our flight operations to function as a single air carrier by making use of a code-sharing arrangement. We are the second major air service providers in Latin America and the biggest in Colombia. We have the widest network of destinations in cooperation with our subsidiaries in Latin America. We have been the proud affiliate of the Star Alliance since 2012.
