Pilot Ground School Victoria teaches you all of the essential knowledge to get started in the unmanned aviation industry or to get your operation inline with Transport Canada’s Pilot Knowledge Requirements. This course additionally includes Industry Canada’s Restricted Radio Operators Certificate with Aeronautical Qualification (ROC-A). Our training gets exceptionally in depth about the commercial UAV technology and business practices. The ground school is just the first part of a comprehensive commercial UAV pilot career program and we are one of the few schools on Transport Canada’s list of compliant training organizations.

Our 3-day course equips you with basic learning in these five areas. One of the essential ways of ensuring flight safety is for all operators to have a decent grasp of regulations and procedures. The manned aviation industry regulations are currently being amended to apply to unmanned aerial vehicles as well.

We work with organizations around the world to help expand their capabilities by implementing unmanned aircraft, sensors, data, and best practices. We spend a half day with you going over your system’s setup and features and doing a bit of simulator or micro quad training in the classroom, and another half day in the field learning the skills necessary to pilot your system safely and confidently. At the end of the day, we will provide you with coaching notes and practice activities to help close the gap on your skills.
