[SYDNEY, June 18, 2015] – Active Metal, a reliable architectural staircase and balustrade specialist in New South Wales, adds three more successful developments under its belt after finishing projects on 9 Hunter Street, 50 Carrington Street and at Charles Perkins “The Hub”. These balustrade and handrail projects are now part of the long list of properties that employed their first-rate design, manufacture and installation services.
John Hunter House – 9 Hunter Street
Located in the bustling heart of the CBD, this commercial property experienced extensive enhancements in the workplace environment. Its recent refurbishment includes upgrades of amenities, services and lifts. Among the most significant upgrades is the sensational and welcoming design of the brand new ground floor lobby. Its key features are glazed balustrades, stainless steel handrails and glazed awning.
Lobby refurbishment – 50 Carrington Street
Active Metal, together with Dexus Property Group and BVN Architects, achieved the requirements of the place. They completed the frameless glass balustrades and the stainless steel lift reveals and cladding. To increase tenancy rates, they included polished concrete floors, exposed services on the ceiling, new façade glass windows and out the norm, “funky” bathrooms.
Charles Perkins Centre – The Hub
The Sydney-based company installed glazed and mild steel balustrades to the two mirror staircases, each with almost 200 square metres of balustrade glass. They completed the stainless steel handrails. These heavy steel blade balustrades presented an interesting feature in the place.
Whether frameless, semi-framed or fully framed, suspended, side-fixed or channel-fixed, Active Metal creates a suitable glazed balustrade to match the vision or a solid infill design. Their custom freestanding or wall mounted handrails can be custom-designed to match the balustrade installation.
