The two big names in the cricket world, M.S. Dhoni, and Kapil Dev, met at Eden Gardens for a television commercial shoot. Both the captains have conferred the Indian cricket team with ICC World Cup trophy.
Dhoni, the captain cool, has always known his way around to bestow victory on the team while Kapil Dev has amazed not just the team but the world with his hypotonic all-rounder prowess.
Dhoni has joined as a new member of the SRMB family. Thanks to the commercial shoot at Eden Gardens as the two cricket icons were able to share the screen with each other for the first time. The shoot day created magical moments as both legends shared the pitch.
Indian film actor turned director, Arindam Sil, was contented to capture the priceless moments on camera. He went on to say, “It’s a matter of immense pleasure to capture both the legends in the same frame. I always loved watching both play and now, direct them playing and that too at the Eden Gardens. This is an experience that I will cherish throughout my life.”
Sil was amazed by Dhoni’s charisma on the screen to the extent that he couldn’t hold back saying, “Dhoni is a natural actor and he hardly took any retakes; while Kapil Dev appeared like a bundle of energy once he took the ball in his hand.”
Sil has directed some of the best-known films including Ebar Shabor, Har Har Byomkesh, Byomkesh Parbo, and Dhananjay.
