Both Tax Forums and Tax Season Updates to be held in 2021

APPLETON, Wis. (June 28, 2021) – Continuing education is key to any tax preparer’s success – not only to maintain designations but also to further their understanding of important tax law updates to avoid large fines and headaches.

After taking the year off from hosting in-person events due to the coronavirus, the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) is excited to announce its upcoming in-person education events this fall.

NATP’s annual two-day Tax Forums & Expo education event takes place in three different locations: Las Vegas (Sept. 21 and 22, 2021); Atlantic City (Sept. 28 and 29, 2021); and Orlando (Oct. 20 and 21, 2021).

Each event offers courses that will guide tax preparers through today’s most critical topics with real-life examples presented by NATP’s expert practitioner instructors. All courses will include CARES Act and COVID-19 related legislation, when applicable.

Tax Forum & Expo sessions include:

- Virtual Currency

- Ethics and Due Diligence

- Individual and Business Updates

- Partnership Agreements

- RMDs After the Secure Act

- Form 1040-X

- Section 751 Hot Assets

Exhibitors will be available at each Tax Forum event to answer questions and perform demonstrations of their products and services that will help tax professionals solve their office problems with ease.

NATP is also hosting its Tax Season Updates education event beginning this fall in more than 100 locations throughout the country. This two-day event provides the most current updates for tax preparers to learn before tax season begins, as understanding the complexities of current tax laws and guidance is critical to success.

Taught by a team of instructors using hands-on learning tools, this event will cover topics including individual and business updates, and payroll topics. Registrants will receive a quick reference desk card, an e-book and printed textbook, and a multi-page tax law quick reference guide with flowcharts.

This event is also offered virtually for those who prefer online education.

For attendee safety, COVID-19 precautions will be taken at each in-person event that comply with local and state regulations.
