On August 17th, Israeli American athlete Eyal Feldman will undertake a monumental 16-mile (26 km) non-stop marathon swim across the length of Lake Skaneateles, a Finger Lake in upstate New York. This daring feat is not just a test of physical endurance but a heartfelt effort to raise crucial funds for Israeli children orphaned by the tragic October 7th terrorist attacks last year.

Eyal's swim supports "Our Children Our War," a non-profit charity that provides immediate and long-term support to the Israeli orphans who lost both their parents as a result of the terror attacks. At present count, 28 children below the age of 18, and an additional 22 young adults up to the age of 25, have tragically lost both of their parents. Every dollar will be invested in the orphans' futures, their educational, physical, spiritual and financial needs along with a dedicated social worker for the rest of their lives.

Eyal was inspired to raise awareness for the plight of these innocent victims of the October 7th attacks during a volunteer mission in Israel this March. “I see these children as our collective responsibility and as 'bad news' is everywhere this is my way of creating good news for a change." says Eyal. "By taking on this challenge, I hope to inspire others to contribute through my swim and multiply these good deeds and focus them on the children as they rebuild their futures.”

The August 17th marathon swim at Skaneateles Lake will be Eyal’s seventh over the past 15 years, his passion for helping others has raised more than $100,000 for charities, creating positive global change through family, friends, strangers and supporters across different communities all around the world.
