“Illibro dei Nomi Significati” is the second esoteric manuscript made by Filippo Biagioli. It can be found
in the Library of the Department of Prints and Drawings of Florence, Italy. This book is a ritual artwork
that contains all the rules to follow to make the perfect Ritual Artworks. The artist himself is specialized
in the making of this type of work. Ritual Artworks are those creations which are based on the Sacred
Texts and their purpose is Spirituality, Devotion and Faith. This book was created following the
technical indications dictate by God in the Torah, to build the Ark of the Covenant.
This is how Biagioli describes his book:
“[..] probably my esoteric manuscript is what mostly connects nowadays and the history lived 5,800
years ago in the Holy Land.”
This is what can be found in the Frontispiece of the volume:
“It was entirely made by Filippo Biagioli in the second month (February) of 2019. It is composed of
white sheets of paper and it was completed following the necessary ritual rules. In between the lines,
there are 26 mm (ca 1 in) and every 6 written pages, there is a white page to respect God’s day of rest
during Creation. The book’s cover and spines are made of acacia, as dictated by God in the Torah.
Furthermore, following His will, the artist gave this book a particular fragrance. On the book’s cover,
there is the copper snake Saraf, who healed the community of Israel. Finally, around this page there
are the Symbols of the 12 tribes of Israel which are based on the mosaic of a synagogue in
Jerusalem.”
The structure of the pages where Sacred Names appear initially might seem complex. For this reason,
the artist, inside the book, provided a graphic map to better understand these symbols. At the
beginning of every page there is the Sacred Name to whom the page is dedicated. Underneath, there
is the numerical string that belongs to the Name. In the middle of the page there is the Name’s Motto
that encloses the scenic depiction of the episode in which the character is presented inside the
Pentateuch. At the end of the page, there are the Name’s attributes.
The book, thanks to the analysis of the Sacred Names, allows the reader to uncover mysteries. Every
Name, according to the esoteric tradition, owns vibrational energy and deep meaning thanks to itsconnection with the cosmic forces which rule the universe.
“Illibro dei Nomi Significati” is made
according to precise ritual indications and fine materials. It is an artwork that transcends simple
aesthetics. The book’s acacia cover is the symbol of immortality and connection with nature. On the
front of it, there is a complex iconography that refers to the mysteries of creation. Every page is made
of fine paper and is decorated with intricate calligraphies and alchemical symbols that exhort to
meditation and contemplation. There are a lot of emphasized symbologies that refer to Biblical texts.
For example, the copper snake: it represents recovery and wisdom. It alludes to the biblical myth of
the copper snake which used to heal people who had been bitten by poisonous snakes. The 12 tribes
of Israel: they are symbols which are in the mosaic of a synagogue in Jerusalem. They represent the
unity and diversity of the Israeli community. The sacred geometry: the proportions and the geometry
used in this book are connected to the principles of the sacred geometry. This type of geometry is
present in every great spiritual tradition. The colours: they are full of symbolic meanings: gold
symbolizes divinity, white is purity, black is matter and red is passion.
