[SALT LAKE CITY, 03/11/2016] – Smart Kids is one of the most trusted preschool and day care centers in Utah. With locations across the state (Earns, Salt Lake City, Chancellorsville, and West Jordan), the centers use Howard Gardner's theory on multiple intelligence as their primary principle. They believe that by educating the seven types of intelligence, their teachers will be able to educate children with greater mental, social, and intellectual capabilities.
Smart Kids made sure to hire teachers that have Children Development Assistance (CAD) degrees or higher. This is to provide a well-rounded education program to kids by capable teachers who are trained to get the lessons across to young minds. They also teach the children the students’ sign language, to enable the learners to express themselves if they can't show it through words.
Absorbing the Essentials
There is a system within Smart Kids that helps children become comfortable. By organizing them according to age, the children will be among their peers. The classrooms are also equipped with computers and stem system models. This way, the environment encourages children with high scientific aptitude to foster their natural skills.
The curriculum is diverse, where teachers discuss a number of subjects that are important to a child's growth. Their teachers run programs such as Head Start, Passport, and V-Math to promote school enhancement and readiness. In every subject, Smart Kids aims to encourage creativity, exploration, and discovery though everyday experiences.
For toddlers, it's all about stimulation their mental capabilities. They get to exercise and dance to songs, and play is a specially-designed infant playground. Even still, Smart Kids' teachers ensure that infants get basic education; they read to the little ones and let them do art. For children two years old and older, they teach age-appropriate lessons and the Spanish language. Smart Kids also has a nutritious four-meal program and offers transportation.
For the Parents
To assure parents, Smart Kids keep the school's infrastructure and staff trained and well-equipped. Teachers train 40 hours a year, ensuring that they are up to date on all new teaching techniques. This doesn't get in the way of treating everyone with love and respect.
The school's goal is to instill the love of learning and new experiences.
