This is not just another list of things to do in Egypt, because you already know that the pyramids and the temples etc. are reasons to visit Egypt. Instead, I’m trying to capture the essence of Egypt, what makes this country special.

You’ve probably wanted to travel to Egypt and, undoubtedly, have asked yourself, “is Egypt safe?” I traveled there solo—and here’s what I can tell you.

When you talk about Egypt, you are talking about one of the safest countries in the world especially for tourists as the government does everything to keep them safe, locals are very friendly and polite.

 

2. Diversity
When it comes to a great vacation, Egypt is the best place for it.

Whatever types of adventures you love Egypt always got something for you from the historical landmarks from the ancient eras to the beautiful sun and beaches of the red sea, and a beautiful city like Hurghada which is one of the top 25 tourist destinations in the world would make it very easy for you to discover other parts of Egypt as while being there you can pick your favorite tour of Hurghada excursions and enjoy the historical treasures of the pharaohs in the beautiful cities Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan.

Egypt is one of the cheapest tourist destinations worldwide as for just $25 you can e.g. get a room at really nice resorts. Street food starts at less than $1, a bus ride from Cairo to Sharm El-Sheikh costs around $6. A day trip to see some incredible canyons and an oasis in Sinai will only set you back around $30. You get the picture. It has become cheaper than most Southeast Asia destinations like Thailand or Bali, so it’s a great reason to visit Egypt even if you’re on a budget.
