Due to the initiative of ICT^hothouse and Kyiv Blood Centre, the geographical reach of ‘thank you’ messages to blood donors is expanding. Now Ukrainian blood donors are getting thank-you text messages each time when a donor donates. For the four months period more that 3400 messages have been sent. Campaign initiators expect that it will increase the number of donors, encourage them to donate and help push back against shortages.

ICT^hothouse company, who initiated the campaign submitted the suggestion about charity partnership to Kyiv Blood Centre. Within the frames of the cooperation, ICT^hothouse offered a customized version of XM^online suited exactly to Blood Centre needs.

“Blood transfusion stations and donors are carrying out the invaluable work - they help save human lives. We also try to partake in this work and offer some technology help. Now Kyiv City Blood Centre uses XM^online for messaging, but technically we are ready to the implementation of the next stage that will help to demonstrate stock levels that consist of available units in blood banks across Kyiv Blood Centre. Also, it is planned to add self-registration in order to provide an ability to potential donor register on the Internet and be invited to come and take samples in preparation to becoming a blood donor.
In a whole the project is aimed not only to help Blood centers to make donors come back and donate again, but also to optimize some inner processes such as donor registration, medical history management, notification sending, and so on. We believe that XM^online will help to reduce the load on Blood Centre workers and make blood donation process easier and faster.” - shared his ideas the manager of XM^online project Ihor Shkurko.
Meanwhile, this service is available for Kyiv City Blood Centre, but the company does not exclude the possibility to cooperate with other Ukrainian blood centers.
