The gap of the punch die is different according to the material and thickness. The gap value is also different:
Mild steel and brass, material thickness 0.4~1.2mm, gap value is 7%~12% of thickness (bilateral), and the same thickness, the gap value of hard steel is 10%~17% of thickness (bilateral);
The material thickness is 1.2~2.5mm, the gap value is 9%~12% of thickness (bilateral), and the gap value of hard steel is 18%~25% (bilateral);
The material thickness is 2.5~4mm, the gap value is 12%~16% of thickness (bilateral), and the gap value of hard steel is 15%~28% (bilateral);
The material thickness is 4~6mm, the gap value is 15%~18% of thickness (bilateral), and the gap value of hard steel is 27%~29% (bilateral).
Therefore, the size of the gap value is independent of the size of the material, and is only related to the thickness of the material and the hardness. Adjusting the gap between the convex and concave molds, regardless of the angle of collapse or the quality of the end face, will be solved.
It is difficult to achieve a right angle at the edge of the product after blanking, even if it is a Stamping Parts, it has the same angle of collapse. Secondary blanking can improve the shape of the edges, but there are still sag angles. It is recommended to consider turning the outer circle and plane grinding after punching.
