Dr. Winson Tang is Well Publicized

As a scientist and physician in California, Dr. Winson Tang has contributed to many publications.

 
While approaching three decades of service in the medical and scientific research communities, Dr. Winson Tang has much to celebrate. He is a highly educated doctor who has worked in the medical and drug development fields for many years. Since receiving his Internal Medicine Certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1986, Dr. Tang has made great strides in his chosen profession.

Throughout his career thus far, he has worked with several biotechnology companies, including Amgen, Tularik Incorporated, Isis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Sangamo Bioscience, Inc. He is also a member of many professional societies, such as the American College of Physicians, the International Society of Nephrology, the American Society of Nephrology, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

His career is also highlighted by a number of contributions to medical and scientific publications. His first publication was in 1986 when he worked with other physicians to publish a paper about pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma with subcutaneous and intraosseous fat necrosis. From that fateful first publication until now, Dr. Winson Tang has been a part of no fewer than thirty-one different publications that were vital to the medical and scientific communities. His latest contribution was a paper that he co-authored with a host of physicians about the gene editing of CCR5 in autologous CD4 T-cells of persons infected with HIV in 2014.

In addition to his peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Tang has also been referenced in many different textbook chapters. His first chapter appearance was in 1991, where he was cited in the seventh edition of Basic and Clinical Immunology where he provides insight into the pathogenesis of immune mediated renal diseases.

In 1994, Winson Tang contributed to two more book chapters. The first was in the eighth edition of Basic and Clinical Immunology, where he is cited for thirteen pages discussing immune mediated renal diseases in depth. His third chapter contribution was in Samter's Immunological Diseases fifth edition, where he discussed immunological renal diseases. With so many noted publications and contributions to the medical community, Dr. Tang is very proud.
