Dr. Winson Tang is an Avid Medical Speaker

Over twenty years, Dr. Winson Tang has provided insight and knowledge through many public speaking appearances.

 
Dr. Winson Tang is a noted physician and scientist who specialize in clinical research and gene therapy. He was educated at Tufts University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His postgraduate studies took him from Hawaii to California. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to speak at public and private seminars and conferences that revolve around the topics of immunology, virology, and nephrology, among others.

His first academic presentation at a national meeting took place in 1986 at the nineteenth meeting of the American Society of Nephrology. At this conference he spoke about the clinical and biochemical features of hypothyroidism in patients with end stage renal disease. From 1986 until 1996, Dr. Tang took part in more than thirty different conferences where he was a speaker.

During this decade, he spoke to groups of professionals in his field about such topics as acquired cystic disease of the kidneys, hyponatremia in patients with acquired immune deficiency syndrome, and inflammatory mediators in acute glomerular injury. Some of the more wellknown include mRNA analysis of dysfunctional glomerular fibrinolysis in the ant-glomerular basement membrane antibody glomerulonephritis in rats and alternative splicing of the NC domain of the human alpha 3 type IV collagen gene. More recently, his public speaking appearances at national conferences related to gene and cell therapy.

In addition to his many appearances at the annual meetings for the American Society of Nephrology, Dr. Tang has also spoken to professionals at the International Congress on Thrombosis and Hemostasis, and the International Congress of Nephrology held in Madrid, Spain.

Dr. Winson Tang can boast far more than a successful career and many international speaking appearances. He has also won a number of awards related to his chosen career field. He was awarded fellowship with the American College of Physicians in 1996. In 1986, while completing his postgraduate educational residencyat USC, Dr. Tang placed third for the American College of Physicians for regional clinical research that he conducted. His award winning research was titled Clinical and Biochemical Features of Hypothyroidism in Patients with End-stage Renal Disease.
