Providing emotional and physical support to the loved ones, Galen Stone from Marion served as a part time caregiver. He worked with two elderly gentlemen on a private contract basis. One man was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and required special attention. Galen constantly worked on managing the challenging behaviors and keeping the person safe. He always provided them with the required support and encouragement for the loved ones.

Formerly providing individual and family counselors to the clients at New Life Counseling, Inc, Galen Stone always aimed at providing the best counseling experience. He clarified the problems and examined what solutions had already been attempted. He gathered information about his client’s past, his personal style as well as the relationship pattern.

Being a former family therapist at Charles Hayden Goodwill Inn School, Galen Stone provided family and individual therapy to DYS and DSS youths and families. Due to his dedication towards providing the best therapy to his clients, a licensed psychologist who has supervised Galen for a full year recommended him.

Galen was highly appreciated for his skills and commitment towards the youthful clients. As per her observation, Galen Stone has always been an asset to the staff. She was so much impressed with his work that she invited him to present at a social work class.

As the former Program Director of Phaneuf Youth Center, Marion based Galen Stone was solely responsible for all the aspects of program operations for the Phaneuf Youth Center. He participated in a Brockton based 16-bed short-term intensive treatment program that was meant for 13-18 year old boys committed towards DYS.
Galen Stone from Marion also created short -term intensive treatment model for the state. He also supervised 35 member staff and all Department Directors including Clinical, Educational and Residential, Psychiatrist, Nurse, Bookkeeper and MSW interns.
