Galen Stone served as an individual and family counselor to the clients at New Life Counseling Inc. Aimed at offering hope and inspiring the positive change, this organization provides its clients with the support, compassion and practical help needed to live a new and better life.

Galen Stone holds an extensive expertise of nine years at Life Resources Inc. Earlier, he served as Director of Fundraising where he supervised all aspects of fundraising for the agency. It included annual and strategic planning, annual appeal, corporate giving and special gifts. He also assisted in producing the agency video and coordinated all the special events. Thereafter in 2001, Galen started serving as the Program Director of Phaneuf Youth Center (DYS) where he was solely responsible for all the aspects of program operations for the Phaneuf Youth Center. Here, Galen also created short-term intensive treatment model for the state. He supervised 35 member staff and all the Department Directors that including Clinical, Education and Residential, Psychiatrist, Nurse, Bookkeeper and MSW interns.

Owing to his hard work and dedication, Galen received an 11-year contract by DYS with 100% rating under intense standards, fulfilling all the proposed requirements. This contract was the highest rating and longest-term contract in Massachusetts State History. Besides, the Phaneuf Youth Center program was recognized as “best practices” from DYS.

Galen Stone was annually presented by DYS for the outstanding improvement in behavior and contribution to community and family. He received various awards by 15 of his clients with whom he worked.

Galen Stone developed his skills in providing the family and individual therapy at Charles Hayden Goodwill Inn School from 1991 to 1993. Here, he worked as a family therapist and co-leader of the Sex offender unit. Here, he considered it his responsibility to co-lead the sex offender group treatment program that was exclusively meant for the emotionally disturbed adolescent boys. Besides, he supervised the groups including anger management, substance abuse, life skills, behavioral skills and family therapy.
