The Bullwhip Hall of Fame announced today the induction of fifteen new members, starting with: Western Stage Props founder Mark Allen, The Whip Guy Chris Camp, globe-trotting circus star Gary Brophy, and the late 'Kentucky gentleman' Brian Chic.
Whip cracking is a sport, performance, and martial art practiced worldwide by thousands who study everything from basic handling and advanced multi-whip routines to precision targeting and performance. Whip practitioners come from all walks of life, all genders, ages, and ethnicities. Most can be found at weekend meetups, participating in online and fan groups, and contests and shows around the world.
The Bullwhip Hall of Fame is dedicated to honoring the greatest whip crackers in the world.
Among the inductees: : Naomi Damian from Japan, film star Anthony DeLongis, western arts emcee Gery Deer, Australian Mick Denigan, the late Alex Green, martial artist Resita DeJesus, store owner Kyle Petersen, cowgirl performer Karen Quest, baton-spinning Joyce Rice, Sylvia Rosat in Europe, and 32-time Guinness World Record holder Adam Winrich.
"We are thrilled to welcome these great performers and teachers into the Bullwhip Hall of Fame," said Robert Dante, President of the Bullwhip Hall of Fame. "They are truly some of the best in te world to ever wield a whip."
