OVIEDO, Fla. (Oct. 22, 2020) – Service Complete Electric, a local leading electrical contractor, has been recognized for Excellence in Construction by the Central Florida chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors. The company received two Eagle Awards for work completed on the Disney Skyliner and Bigfire at Universal CityWalk.

Over the course of two years, SCE completed all of the electrical work needed for the huge Disney Skyliner project. There were six separate stations and 50 gondola towers making up the Disney Skyliner, meaning this job was actually six projects in one. SCE successfully completed its scope of the project on time and on budget without ever interrupting guests’ experience.

SCE completed demolition work and refreshed electrical and support systems for Universal CityWalk’s latest restaurant concept Bigfire. Located in a high-traffic area, SCE had to be very mindful of guests and was required to complete all work during the overnight hours. Overcoming numerous change orders and other challenges, SCE completed this project within its tight timeline of just nine months.

“Both the Disney Skyliner and Bigfire presented unique challenges and required us to work around central locations without disturbing any guest’s experience,” said Tony Scruggs, president of SCE. “Our team was able to accomplish these jobs on time and on budget through solid procedures, strong communication and overall dedication of the team.”

Each year, Associated Builders and Contractors honors the best contractors in the business with its highly coveted Eagle Awards. This is the fifth year in a row SCE has been recognized, earning a total of eight Eagle Awards.
