Accessory applies hold-down and in-line pressure simultaneously

ORLANDO, Fla. (July 6, 2020) – MICROJIG recently introduced yet another shop-altering innovation—the MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamp AP. Now, the leader in table saw accessories is giving more woodworkers access to one of the most versatile features of the new product.

MICROJIG today announced that the MATCHFIT X-PAD, the accessory included with the MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamp AP, is now available in a 4-pack.

The X-PAD works with the original MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamps and attaches directly over the clamp pad. It features a “Pressure Transfer Notch” that pivots around the edge of the workpiece and applies hold-down and in-line pressure simultaneously as a maker tightens the clamp.

The combined forces keeps pieces flat and eliminates the need for two or more clamps on many different projects.

The X-PAD also features a V-Groove for holding down round or oblong stock.

“At MICROJIG, versatility is one of our tenants of good design,” said Bruce Wang, CEO of MICROJIG. “The X-PAD takes our successful MATCHFIT system and expands its capabilities by giving the user two clamps in one. Inline pressure and hold-down pressure without lifting the material is a game-changer for our craft.”

MICROJIG’s entire MATCHFIT system is designed to work together to empower woodworkers to build their ultimate jigs and fixtures with a series of dovetail track clamps, hold-downs and hardware for building stops and fences. The line includes the Dovetail Clamps, Dovetail Clamp AP, Dovetail Hardware, Dovetail Router Bit, Relief Bit, Dado Stop and Setup Gauge.

The X-PAD 4-Pack retails for $12.95. It is available at select retailers worldwide. To find a retailer, or to learn more, visit www.microjig.com.
