The Quality and Design of Footwear Products in Almansa are the Watchword of Exports in Castilla-La

Three out of four shoes that are exported from Castilla-La Mancha have been made in the province of Albacete. The tenacity and effort of our business has helped our products are present in most of the countries of the world.

 
Spain, July 08, 2013 - The Minister of Employment and the Economy of Castilla-La Mancha, Carmen Home, said that the quality and design of the footwear sector in Castilla-La Mancha and especially in Almansa, are the watchword of our exports thanks to the effort and determination they are showing all of our entrepreneurs.

During a visit to the company Sendra Boots, which is a hundred years, Casero recalled that the province of Albacete has exported between January and April of 2013 products for value of 265 million euros, representing an increase of over 10 percent.

In this regard, the minister stressed that the shoe is second in the ranking of exports of Albacete with economic pillar 34, 3 million euros, representing an increase of 2 percent over the same period last year, achieving in this way, that three out of four pairs of shoes or boots that are exported are produced in this province.

La Minister of Employment and the Economy has reported that at present France is the first country buyer of products manufactured in Albacete, with an amount of 53 million euros, followed by Italy with 40.6, Germany with 33 million, Portugal with 26.6 million and the UK with 10.3 million.

In terms of number of companies, Casero said that so far, a total of 560 companies in this province have been sold outside the borders of our country quality products that are helping to make even bigger the name of Castilla-La Mancha, footwear being one of the most relevant articles.

Regional Government support for Entrepreneurs
Subsequently, at a meeting with businessmen in the footwear industry in the City Council with the mayor and president of the council, Francisco Nunez, Casero recalled that once again was the previous government that left substantial debts to the sector and the Government of the president who is paying Cospedal debts incurred to make the previous mismanagement has no effect on the quality and future of footwear of Castile-La Mancha.

Therefore, he said, we are meeting with industry to talk to them and see first hand what their concerns and needs as well as how we can help them continue to improve their exports now that the market is more constrained.
