Stresses that the regional government is working on the Strategic Tourism Plan for Castilla-La Mancha to become single destination holiday

 
Spain, June 21, 2013 - The Minister of Employment and the Economy of Castilla-La Mancha, Carmen Casero, has ensured that our region "has class resources to position itself in the forefront of national and international tourism.

In this sense, Casero recalled that we have natural areas of the beauty of the mountains of Cuenca, where you can make a adventure of the first order.

During his visit to the town of Villalba de la Sierra (Cuenca), the minister and the president of the Professional Association of Active Tourism Cuenca, Juan Aloque, both highlighted the importance of regularizing active tourism through a decree adapted current circumstances with the aim of encouraging the development of the sector in Castilla-La Mancha, in addition to strengthening the economy of rural disadvantaged.

Also, the minister stressed the need to work to make the environmental structure and adventure tourism can go hand in hand to give more opportunities and facilities to the entrepreneurs in this sector, and contribute to the maintenance of the places in which activities are performed.

Tourism in numbers
Home recalled that, in Spain, active tourism generates 150 million euros a year, has 1,500 companies, employing 8,000 people directly and over 10,000 indirectly and that the Secretary of State of Tourism estimates annual growth more than 20 percent.

For our region, Casero currently highlighted in Castilla-La Mancha, we have 82 active tourism companies, of which 11 are of Albacete, 15 Ciudad Real, Cuenca 29, 18, Guadalajara and Toledo 9.

Finally, he insisted that the regional government is working on the Tourism Strategic Plan "to help position Castilla-La Mancha as a single destination because we have sufficient authority and resources to number our region is not a place of step.
