ATLANTA, GA, May 29, 2013 – In order to streamline its marketing and sales organizations Business Computer Applications (BCA) announced today that it has appointed healthcare veteran Monty Green to the newly created position of Executive Vice President of Business Development, Sales and Marketing.

“Healthcare is the fastest growing industry in the country and to keep pace companies involved in it are increasingly turning to information technology,” says BCA CEO Albert Woodard. “While BCA has enjoyed a long history of success in healthcare, the appointment of Monty Green will enable us to sustain our growth by being more responsive to our current customer base while at the same time concentrating on new and improved applications and services.”

Green has more than a quarter of a century of healthcare and health technology experience including designing, developing and implementing healthcare processes, applications and technologies. “His background in electronic health records, health information exchanges and health analytics are valuable assets to BCA’s current and future customers,” adds Woodard. In his new position, which reports directly to Woodard, Green is responsible for Marketing, Business Development, Sales and Public Affairs.

Prior to joining BCA Green founded MVG Education Foundation, an Atlanta-based non-profit organization that provides health information technology and workforce development training services to the unemployed, underemployed and veterans who are re-tooling themselves for the health information technology marketplace.

Green was the director of Healthcare Solutions for Vitalize Consulting Services, a Science Applications International Applications (SAIC) company, before opening the MVG Education Foundation. During his tenure there he had responsibility for managing that firm’s Emerging Markets Business Development organization. He also had responsibility for managing the business development activities providing healthcare solutions to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a member of SAIC’s Health Solutions business unit.

He was an Associate Partner within IBM’s Healthcare division prior to joining SAIC.

“Monty’s experience in partnering with healthcare organizations to help meet their business goals and objectives by utilizing our technologies in this rapidly growing industry sector will be of great benefit to our existing and future customers,” says Woodard.

Green, who earned a BS degree in Communications from The State University of New York (SUNY) at Fredonia, serves on a variety of boards and committees within the academic and private business industry including the Metro Atlanta Chamber Board of Advisors, Technology Association of Georgia’s HIT Advisory Board and Southern Polytechnic State University’s Technology Leadership Board.
