INDIAN MARKETS ROUNDUP
The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 188.15 points to 24906.14 and the 50-share NSE Nifty climbed 55.90 points to 7566.10. The broader markets marginally outperformed benchmarks, up more than 0.8 percent.

Equity benchmarks remained strong in morning trade following positive global cues. Banking & financials, FMCG, auto and oil stocks gained while Coal India topped selling list on Sensex, down 6.5 percent after adjustment for interim dividend.

• Dr Reddy's Laboratories (down 0.10 per cent)
• Bajaj Auto (down 0.02 per cent)

ASIAN MARKETS STAY HIGHER
Most Asian markets were trading higher. Japan's benchmark Nikkei was trading 2.08 per cent higher at 17,291. China's CSI300 rose 1.75 per cent to 3,082. Other Asian indices, including Hong Kong's Hang Seng (up 1.46 per cent), South Korea's Kospi (up 0.17 per cent) and Taiwan's TWSE (up 0.62 per cent) were trading higher.
