GLOBAL MARKETS ROUNDUP
The main BSE share index down 0.33 percent while the broader NSE index 0.42 percent lower as a cautious statement from the central bank on Tuesday after its 25 basis point rate cut, cast doubts on future monetary easing, while a forecast for weak monsoon also continued to dent sentiment.

The market extended losses in morning trade as monsoon woes continued weighed. The Sensex fell 165.53 points to 27022.85 and the Nifty declined 58.70 points to 8177.75. The broader markets dropped too, down nearly 1 percent.

Nestle BSE -7.87 % plunged nearly 10 per cent as trouble mounted for Maggi. However, Ashwini Gujral said investors need not get swayed till the case is over and maintained its 'buy' call. Nestle India lost more than 6 percent after Delhi Government said lab testing report showed Maggi samples found unsafe in national capital.
