Loveland, CO, September 10, 2023: Village Care Project announced that it is has 2 openings left for volunteers on their next project to help 6 villages in Tanzania, Africa on April 30th – May 9th, 2024.

Application Deadline and deposit is Sept 30th. (Note: Amazing photo opportunities too!)

While on a photo trip to Tanzania, Georgia Evans, founder of Village Care Project, was totally shocked by the filthy drinking water that she saw African women collecting for their families from a pond. She decided to return and to do something about it. Georgia raised money, hired local African men, and returned with water filters and mosquito nets. She educated, assembled, and demonstrated these tools to each woman in 4 villages. The project has grown from there.

Village Care Project is now a non-profit that works to help African women and their families. African women are the pillars of the community. When we support the women, the entire village thrives! They build the mud thatch homes, collect water, collect wood, cook the food and care for the children and their family.

No experience necessary to join us April 30th, 2024 and help make a difference in the lives of Tanzanians.

How will you help them? You will help, deliver, assemble, educate and demonstrate how to use the following lifesaving tools:

• Clean Water Filters. The villages we visit gather water from literally any place they can find it and it is filthy! These water filters remove 99% of all waterborne diseases from their drinking water like deadly cholera, E Coli, dysentery, and giardia.

• Mosquito nets: When the sun goes down the mosquitoes come out. These bed nets literally save lives by preventing malaria, especially in children. Did you know some women will not even give their child a name until they survive to age 5 due to malaria deaths.

• Large heavy-duty tarps: Imagine when the monsoon rains come and the huts leak. The floors are muddy and everyone inside is wet and miserable. These tarps waterproof their mud thatch huts to keep them warm, dry, healthy and happy.

• Solar lanterns that get their power from the sun and help light up their homes when the sun goes down. Waterproof and no batteries or electricity required. The gift of light!

Amazing cultural exchange for people who want to give back to the world and love helping others! It is a wonderful cultural exchange as we help over 100 homes (almost 1000 very grateful people) have the above tools to stay healthy and improve their quality of life.

Great photo opportunities at a couple national parks with amazing wildlife; wild elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, warthogs, gazelles, birds, and MORE! The trip is amazing! Accommodations and food are also really good.

Cost is $5000 for a single room or $4500 for double occupancy. See our web site for details, inclusions and exclusions at https://villagecareproject.com/volunteer
