Is it possible to leave Vietnam later than granted exit date?

Posted December 2, 2015 by vietnamvisa

All travelers should notice that they must leave Vietnam by their granted exit date.

Having over 10 years of experience offering Vietnam visa on arrival service, Vietnamvisa.hk has received questions from a lot of travelers, especially those wishes to apply for a 1-month visa for Vietnam asking whether they can leave Vietnam just a few days later than their granted exit date. But Vietnamvisa.hk must say SORRY. It is impossible. The visa owners may leave Vietnam earlier than their granted exit date but a later exit is not allowed.

If travelers wish to stay longer in Vietnam, they may:

1. Apply for a long-term visa for Vietnam. For example, instead of applying for a 1-month entry, they may apply for a 3-month visa. This option is highly recommended. Their fees are different but it is considered a wise choice to save cost, time and easily control their time.

2. Extend Vietnam visa while they are in Vietnam. This option is not highly recommended as extending Vietnam visa now is rather difficult and costly.

3. Leave Vietnam and then come back with a new visa. This is also not highly recommended.
