It’s therefore significant while searching for jobs to confirm about the duties and responsibilities that the LPN is allowed to do in an organization. For instance, in some organizations the RN is expected to perform the following tasks:

(i) Start, prescribe, or change crucial intravenous medicines that stabilize the heart or blood pressure.
(ii) Start, monitor, and/or discontinue intravenous catheters or even the intravenous fluids.
(iii) Care of fundamental intravenous lines (which go to or close to the patient's heart)
(iv) Take phone or verbal requests from the MD.
