Toyota Manufacturing UK (TMUK) approached BIL Castors and Wheels earlier this year with a view to improving the smooth movement of the dollies used at its plant in Derbyshire. They were concerned about the effort required to manually propel dollies around inside the car plant.
BIL offered a solution in the form of our Green Ergo SRPTA series wheel and BZMJ heavy-duty fabricated bracket combination which was then tested against other world-class-leading manufacturers of castors and wheels.
Following extensive in-house testing over a number of weeks at TMUK, BIL were informed that our product out-performed all others on test within its class.
Further batches of the same castors in larger volumes were purchased to extend the trial which also proved to be a success, following which, in April 2012 BIL gained approved supplier status.
In future, BIL Green Ergo castors are to be made a stock item in TMUK.
