Highly competent in conflict resolution, Varun Naidu has been a part of Delta Police Management Team. Apart from overseeing sworn officers, support staff and volunteers, he managed to operate an annual budget of 34 million dollars. Being the member of the management team, Varun worked collaboratively with Delta Police Association and the Canadian Union of Public Employees. Holding a diverse background in Community Policing, Varun holds a solid experience of many years in operational policing at Delta Police Department. Apart from community policing, he is also highly skilled in Patrol Division, Drug Section, Criminal Investigation Branch, and Emergency Response Team.

During his free time, Varun Naidu loves to watch sports especially NFL. Besides, he regularly goes to gym and has travelled a lot along with his family. Soon, he will join the Porsche club. he is quite fond of reading and watching movies.

Pertaining to his professional career, Varun started it with the Patrol Division where he responded to calls for services as well as conducted investigations. Besides, he came up with problem solving initiatives to address the community concerns. He also supervised the constables and provided them with the guidance and leadership on all investigative and operational matters.

Adding more to his expertise, Varun has been the inspector in charge of Operational Support Branch where he managed Traffic Section, Vulnerable Sector, Community Policing, Victim Services, Community Relations and School Liaison Units. It was his responsibility to ensure that the Operational Support Branch was adequately resourced and managed.

Regarding his educational qualification, Varun graduated from the University of British Columbia with Bachelor of Education. Pertaining to the awards he has received, he won the Oliver Thompson Memorial Award at the Police Academy.

Formerly being the part of Criminal Investigation Branch, Varun Naidu conducted drug and major crime investigations by making use of principles of major case management. Besides, he served in the role of primary investigator and file coordinator in files including marijuana grow operations, homicides and other violent offenses.
