Highly competent in conflict resolution, change management, leadership, report writing, and team building, Varun Naidu has been a part of Delta Police Management Team. Apart from overseeing sworn officers, support staff and volunteers, he managed to operate an annual budget of 34 million dollars. Being the member of the management team, Varun worked collaboratively with Delta Police Association and the Canadian Union of Public Employees. Being the inspector of in charge of Operational Support Branch, Varun managed Traffic Section, Vulnerable Sector, Community Policing, Victim Services, Community Relations, and School Liaison Units.

Serving as the inspector at Strategic Services Branch in September 2017, Varun Naidu conducted and coordinated special projects for the department. Apart from this, he oversaw the Emergency Management Section and Victim Services Unit. Working as the Acting Inspector at the Patrol Division, Varun formerly served as the in charge of Patrol Division. Here, he managed first response priorities and services to the community. He also supervised four platoon shifts consisting of approximately 80 officers.

As the part of the Emergency Response Team, Varun conducted high risk operations that fell outside the skills, knowledge and abilities of regular members such as warrant service, barricaded persons and hostage rescue. Thereafter, he was selected as the Team Leader of the Emergency Response Team where he supervised all tactical operations and coordinated training.

Pertaining to his education credentials, Varun Naidu graduated from the University of British Columbia with Bachelor of Education. Pertaining to the awards he has received, he won the Oliver Thompson Memorial Award at the Police Academy.

During his leisure time, Varun loves to watch sports especially NFL. Besides, he regularly goes to gym and has travelled a lot along with his family. Soon, he will join the Porsche club. Apart from this, he is quite fond of reading and watching movies.

In 2007, in Delta Police Department, Varun Naidu served as the Sergeant in the Delta Police Drug Section. Here, he supervised seven constables in the areas of drug investigation. It included indoor marijuana grow operations and drug trafficking. Being a supervisor, he provided oversight on all investigations and developed strategies with my team to reduce the impact of drugs in the community through education, enforcement and community partnership.
