Highly skilled to be the part of Delta Police Department since years, Varun Naidu managed to be the part of Emergency Response Team. Here, he conducted high risk operations that fell outside the skills, knowledge and abilities of regular members such as warrant service, barricaded persons and hostage rescue. He was then selected as the team leader of the Emergency Response Team where he supervised all tactical operations and coordinated training.

Being the inspector in charge of Operational Support Branch, Varun Naidu managed Traffic Section, Vulnerable Sector, Community Policing, Victim Services, Community Relations, and School Liaison Units. It was his responsibility to ensure that the Operational Support Branch was adequately resourced and managed.

Varun Naidu served as a Staff Sergeant Watch Commander in Delta Police Department where he supervised the patrol shift. He was responsible for a team of seventeen constables and two sergeants conducting patrol and uniform functions. He worked to provide field support and guidance on all investigative and administrative matters, along with drafting and delivering performance evaluations.

In his leisure time, Varun Naidu loves to watch sports especially NFL. Besides, he regularly goes to gym and has travelled a lot along with his family. Soon, he will join the Porsche club. He is quite fond of reading and watching movies.

Highly involved in the drug investigations, Varun supervised seven constables in this area that included indoor marijuana grow operations and drug trafficking. Being a supervisor, he provided an oversight on all the investigations and developed strategies with his team to reduce the impacts of drugs in the community through education, enforcement and community partnerships.

About Varun Naidu

As the member of Criminal Investigation Branch in2001, Varun Naidu conducted drug and major case management. He also served the role of primary investigator and file coordinator in files including marijuana grow operations, homicides, and other violent offences. Pertaining to his education credentials, Varun graduated from the University of British Columbia with Bachelor of Education. Pertaining to the awards he has received, he won the Oliver Thompson Memorial Award at the Police Academy.
