Say "Tanzania" and most of us envision the Safari encounter, lush greenery, migrating animals, and magnificent scenery with an unbelievable mountainous backdrop. This is a state of extremes, and that I understand as clouds apparent allowing glimpses of the towering peaks of Kilimanjaro why few could deny the feeling of amazement.

In case you have already enjoyed a Safari adventure not seek an exciting and exciting type of holiday this past year, rather than lazing on the beach? You might want to do something particular; increase money or just by taking the Kilimanjaro challenge, feel an unbelievable sense of achievement.

The Mountain
Kilimanjaro has been described as "An Everest for Everyman or at least Everest Base Camp (https://www.greatnepaltreks.com/exploring-everest-base-camp/) " as it has an accessible summit, and is the chosen mountain for the tourist. I select this magnificent mountain to climb for a few reasons; Its the highest peak in Africa at 5891m, its Uhuru Peak is one of the world's seven summits, it is the biggest volcano to break through the earth's crust and Kibo is a 1.5-mile wide crater.

Kilimanjaro is a climb that is fascinating as it boasts an ecosystem. As a result of the equatorial location and the high elevation, every climate kind is represented. I was astonished to encounter 4 seasons within desert uplands; rain forests, alpine meadows and moorlands, one week and finally snow and ice. The glaciers that are remaining are also definitely worth the plunge, although it's well worth visiting soon as they're melting quickly.

The Machame Route
The Machame Route is regarded as the route to the summit since the afternoon walks are longer and steeper than other paths although deemed a challenging trek. The breathable oxygen in addition to the mountain is much less than half that at sea level; therefore it is important to pick a trek that is suitable for your level of expertise and fitness.

The treks are fully supported, and this particular route allowed me to acclimatize easily over the 6-day climb, although hard. Our friendly porters helped by carrying off the essentials that were heavy for the travel allowing us to focus on the experience.

The Expertise
This is the experience of life. The people in our group have been like-minded and enthusiastic. We slept well in our two-man tents and generally enjoyed nutritious foods that were straightforward. Experiences conquer the excitement that morning as I took my first few steps into the rain forest leaving Machame Hut.

Little can beat the adrenalin rush at Shira Camp when we stumbled upon an 800 m vertical rise over 8 9 km! Nothing beats against the overpowering sense of accomplishment passing Stella Point on to the crater ridge where we reached the summit. The walking left us feeling physically tired but mentally stimulated. This is an adventure vacation not to overlook.
