Takeover chatter denied by AVEO representative

A representative for AVEO Pharmaceuticals has denied receiving any tender offer from Jazz Pharmaceuticals as previously reported. A reliable source within the drug maker also denies any current buyout offers from potential suitors at this time.

Our previous release stated there was unconfirmed chatter for the acquisition of AVEO Pharmaceuticals for up to S2.3 billion which we have confirmed to be false.
