In the village of Mundali, deep in the state of Uttar Pradesh, where the work of Napkin rings and Christmas Hangings is conducted, Trunkin’ by making bathrooms is giving the artisans a right they always should have had, but could never achieve.
The aim of this project is to enable them to sustain a life that is hygienic and can help them to lead a healthy lifestyle. Trunkin’ believes in getting the women of Mundali and several members of their family the right to their privacy and hygiene and thus we are here to pursue this ambition.
The plan is to make 80 bathrooms over our entire artisanal base covered in the clusters mentioned.

How this Started ?

Mundali, has been the starting point of this project as when our founder- Mr Manav Bhatia, visited the village he was not only left bereft of words and in rather shock looking at the situation of sanity in the area. Women had little to no access in using facilities that rarely existed in the premise and it is thus that Trunkin’ thought to initiate this project and make sure the situation changes for the better over time.

Our Help ?

Artisan Coordinator- From our entire artisanal base we selected a few local artisans and allotted them areas where they were given the responsibility to make sure the bathroom gets curated in time. The furnishings of every bathroom were allocated to them by virtue of a budget and a vendor we decided who will supply the same to them.


Sarpanch of the Village - Every village we worked in from Ajrara to the outskirts of Meerut, we had a written certificate issued by the Sarpanch giving his authorised allowance to conduct the work we are doing and also thus thanked us for our initiative and made sure that all women whose families we have made bathrooms have access to the same.
