New Delhi, the capital city of India is a gigantic, extensive metropolis. It is an ancient city with a storied past, Delhi is one of the most historical cities in the whole world. Also, it has a very vibrant present as the capital of the world’s largest democratic country India. There are so many things to do and places to visit in Delhi it’s hard to even find out how to begin a Delhi city guide, and what it offers to visitors and tourists who want to explore & experience the best sights, hotels, attractions, landmarks and fun, cool things to do.

So here it goes my tips for Delhi places for visit and what to do in Delhi. There are a lot of things to do in Delhi, from a street food tour, to watching the sunrise at India Gate, to exploring the city’s UNESCO World Heritage sites like Red Fort, Qutb Minar, Humayun’s Tomb – these are things you must visit in Delhi. But first, let’s have a clear understanding of why you should visit Delhi and where should you stay in the city?

Why visit Delhi?
Most visitors to India land either in Delhi or Mumbai. And it’s from these metropolitan cities that they gather their first impressions. Sadly, Delhi does not always make a good first impression. Find out places to visit near me and it will help you see the beauty & charm of the city.

I think Delhi is a magnificent city. It is not only is it the capital of modern India, but it has also been the capital of more than seven previous civilisations, and each has left behind a trail of monuments. It is also a green city, crisscrossed by wide, leafy concourses; and also it is the country’s cultural heart & political center. Moreover, the city is known as a foodie’s pleasure garden and a shopper’s heaven. In other words, there are lots of things to do in Delhi, and many reasons to love the city.

Where to stay in Delhi?
There are numerous places to stay, and many neighborhood places to explore, but in some way, most tourists end up in Pahar Ganj (near New Delhi Railway Station), Karol Bagh, or Connaught Place, the commercial centers of Delhi. There are a lot of cheap hotels here, and the nightlife can be fun & exciting, but there are also a lot of issues like a highly crowded place. For foreigners & especially those new to India, it can feel like a shark feeding frenzy to walk down the street.

In my opinion, staying where you are treated as something more than a walking wallet. I suggest staying away from the hustle and bustle and avoiding the sharks. Stay instead in the leafy, upscale neighbourhoods of central New Delhi or South Delhi. There are lots of options to choose from and more coming up every day. So now you can start exploring the capital city by searching ‘visit places nearby me’ and have a rocking holiday in the glorious city of India.
