Trenton Polke announces his involvement with local community service projects and organizations.

Outside of his life as a hardworking young businessperson, Trenton Polke has always held a passion for community service. Today, he announces his active participation in multiple local community service programs and projects. These include his involvement with Habitat For Humanity as well as local projects that serve and donate food to the hungry.

On getting involved in community service, Trenton Polke says, “I never thought that it was about ‘extracurricular activities.’ I have always felt like it is my civic duty as a person with the privileges that I have to do my part to give back, especially to the people around me.”

Trenton Polke's work with Habitat For Humanity, for example, has been both challenging and rewarding. "It truly is terrible that not everyone has a roof over their heads or a place to call home." The knowledge that he was really giving back by rebuilding homes that had been damaged by the surrounding environment is what kept him going in his work. "I had never built a house before," admits Trenton Polke, "and I had no idea how physically tough it was going to be. I'm glad I built up some strength while I was playing team sports."

Trenton Polke believes that everyone should have not only a roof over their head, but enough to eat. It is for this reason that Trenton Polke has also worked to serve and donate food to the hungry through several different missions local to him. Trenton Polke knows that not everyone is able to afford to eat, and so he has been dedicated for years to doing his part to change that.

"It really is true,” says Trenton Polke, “that when a lot of people come together, we can make big things happen. I remember once, we didn't think we had enough for an event we were putting on. We literally had to go door to door in the neighborhood and ask people we had never met if they had an extra can of beans or something like that. It was hard, but we pulled it together and were able to feed everyone." Trenton Polke plans to continue his community service work in the future.
