Sydney, Australia, ZON™ Powersol™ Solar Mobile Device Charging Stations Installed in Metcalfe Park in Pop-Up Community-Togetherness Effort– Spearheaded by Google Australia in an effort to further fuse the Pyrmont community, Sydney local businesses, ASPECT Studios, and Fairfax Media, amongst others, have come together to create a dynamic pop-up space for people to enjoy the summer sun near Darling Harbor in Metcalfe Park. ZON has been tapped to provide mobile device charging solutions in Metcalfe Park, and has installed Powersol Mobile Solar Charging Stations throughout the park.
With outdoor furniture sustainably designed by ASPECT Studios, the ‘Pop Up’ park will encourage more people to stay and enjoy the park during Sydney’s warmer months.
“The way the lot has been designed is incredible,” said Cameron Wilson, Co-founder of ZON. “ASPECT has done an amazing job making use of the space, and creating environmentally friendly seating and tables based on the designs of our solar powered mobile device charging umbrellas. Accommodating the needs and desires of the Pyrmont community, the park will don large tables with lots of shade, herb gardens, large spaces for a game of Frisbee, ping-pong tables and orbit tennis poles. Free Wifi will be available for those using technology, and Food Trucks will be allowed to sell from the paved areas.

The Pop Up opened on November 27th and will be up for 6 weeks. After that, feedback will be taken into consideration for planning a more permanent park based on the community needs.
