Dolpo combined of varied Geography lower part deep valley, Crystal Lake and green jungle of Shey Phoksundo National park and upper high dry land with nomadic lifestyle. This mystical land where centuries old Buddhist and Bonpo traditions; interwoven with shamanistic influences and it is still an important part of daily life. Our journey starts flight to Juphal from Kathmandu. Lower Dolpo Trek via Sahartara, Dho Tarap, crossing over Numala Pass 5320m and Bagala Pass 5190m to Phoksundo Lake. These 2 passes are highest point in this trek; from there you can enjoy the panoramic vista of the Dhaulagiri Himal to the south and border Himalaya ranges to north. You will trek back to Juphal via Ranje to Juphal and fly to Kathmandu. The landscapes here are mixed of greenery than on the upper Dolpa.

The months of April to September are good time to Dolpo Trek. Before April all high passes are blocked by snow and after September it start to snow. Still trek is possible till end of October with heavy-duty equipment. And after November is completely not possible to trek in upper Dolpo due to high risk of snowing. Dolpa region is full of rare herbs and wild animals. Upper Dolpo Trek a lucky one sight blue sheep, Ghoral, Cheetah and even snow Leopard and many other species of animals. Dolpa is home of rare plants like Cordyceps Sinensis, Nardostachys, Dactylorhiza Hatagirea etc.

Lower Dolpo Trek is another best trekking in Nepal. Lower Dolpo region, being one of the remotest and minimum uncovered territories of Nepal, is secluded because of the troublesome geology. Subsequently, Lower Dolpo trek still offers chance to meet the general population and their way of life verging on untouched and unexplored.
