In a press meet organized yesterday, the CEO of TravelKhana as well as top executives of the portal elucidated on the services launched by them.

If you are travelling by train and are hungry but do not have net connection, TravelKhana will come to your rescue. All you need is to send an SMS. TravelKhana, which delivers food on the go to train passengers, has tied up with txtWeb, which is an app that provides applications that are text based.

Now customers can book their meals via a simple SMS because of making the application available on txtWeb. To gain access to the app, all customers need to do is send an SMS to TravelKhana using the number 51115.

Users need to provide their PNR number in the SMS, order for food and can enjoy it delivered to your seat. The choice of restaurants includes all major food joints in the locality of stations. TravelKhana offers the service of group booking, as well as cash on delivery.

“Our endeavour has been to provide quality service in the most simple manner to customers and by a partnership with txtWeb, we aim to connect to anyone with a mobile phone," said Pushpinder Singh.

It also provides a great variety of beverages and snacks. The portal serves 5000 trains stopping at over 500 stations across the country.

The packing and delivery charges are included in the cost of meals. You can enjoy the meals delivered freshly to your seat. The website is planning a major expansion to more and more trains and stations.
