Amanda Jane Rosdahl and Joshua Gilbert Summit were married at 7 o’ clock in the evening on Aug. 14, 2015, at The Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, S.C. The Rev. Richard C. Lewis Jr. officiated. A reception, hosted by the brides parents, was held at The Dairy Barn after the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Henry and Sandra Rosdahl, of Gastonia.
She is the granddaughter of Dalton and Patricia Rayfield, of Bessemer City; the late Lloyd and Julia Rosdahl; and the late Max Baxter. She graduated from Hunter Huss High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. She is employed by Gaston County Schools.
The groom is the son of Randy and Wanda Summit, of Denton.
He is the grandson of Benor and Peggy Summit, of Thomasville, and Roy and Rena Curry, of Lexington. He graduated from East Davidson High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is employed by Byers Engineering in Gastonia.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The maid of honor was Tasha Carson, of Gastonia. Bridesmaids were Sarah Summit, of New York, N.Y.; Chelsea Baldwin, of Weaverville; Summer Seigler, of Gastonia; Lauren Spencer, of Gastonia; and Kelly Cole, of Gastonia.
The groom’s father served as the best man. Groomsmen were Ben Renas, of Lexington; Tyler Wilson, of Charlotte; Tyler Smith, of Thomasville; Trey Ferry, of Gastonia; Issac Snyder, of Thomasville; and Sean Bowman, of Hickory.
Flowergirls were Addy Morehead, of Bessemer City, and River Leonard, of Thomasville. The ring bearer was
Dax Morehead, of Bessemer City.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Hampton Inn Fort Mill, catered by Dino’s of Bessemer City.
The couple traveled to Jamaica for their honeymoon and now reside in Bessemer City.
