Sonia Kruger slips into a plunging black dress as she joins Delta Goodrem and Richard Wilkins at the Channel Nine Logies after party

The Logie awards is TV's night of nights.

And after the awards ceremony on Sunday evening, the celebrations continued as the stars descended upon the Channel Nine Logies after party.

Today Extra's Sonia Kruger, 51, changed out of her champagne Balmain gown and into a slinky and plunging black dress, as she joined the likes of Delta Goodrem and Richard Wilkins on the dance floor.

Sonia showcased her golden tan in her dress, which was sleeveless in design and flowing at the bottom.

She wore gold hoops and had a black leather shoulder bag over her shoulder.

Other guests at the party included Deborah Knight, Catriona Rowntree, The Footy Show's Paul Vautin, and The Block's Scott Cam and Keith Schleiger and foreman Dan.

Dave Hughes also attended, with the comedian and radio host presenting at the awards ceremony.

He didn't hold back, and took aim at a number of personalities.

He was slammed on Twitter by viewers, after he poked fun at former Olympic swimmer Grant Hackett.

The comedian didn't hold back during his speech, with the audience gasping as Dave quipped that Grant had been 'a bit whingey' and dramatic during his highly publicised battle with his family.

Grant had recently sought help for mental health issues.

Dave Hughes mocking a bloke with clear mental health issues. Not funny at all' complained one Twitter user.

Others echoed similar sentiments. 'Very unfunny Dave Hughes... Hackett has a mental illness you c**k', wrote another disgruntled Logies viewer.

Another tweeted: 'Did someone vet Dave Hughes monologue and at no point did someone say 'probably don't mock the athlete who had a breakdown?'

After a fall-out with his family in February, Grant released a statement, saying that he has 'some mental health issues' and that he would be 'seeking help here in Australia' and overseas.

However, some viewers thought that Dave's edgy sense of humour was just what was needed to kick off the show.

'Oh Dave, you just aced that Logies opening. Funniest opening in many years. Well done', a Twitter user wrote, accompanied by a crying-with-laughter face.

And the controversial comedian also got a good review from his former The Project co-star, Charlie Pickering, who stated, 'So Hughesy is bananas good tonight'.

Dave singled out Gold Logie nominee Grant Denyer, congratulating him for his recovery after being injured in a car accident last month.

'Good on you, Grant,' Dave said.

'Not like Grant Hackett. Grant Hackett, "I'm going to rehab again." Well, listen this time, right.'

Visible gasps could be heard as Dave continued: 'He's been a bit whingey. See him on Instagram, put a selfie of himself with a black eye and said, "Look what my brother did."'
