Rebecca Foil Williams Cook and Vincent Lee Bray were united in marriage on Friday

 
Rebecca Foil Williams Cook and Vincent Lee Bray were united in marriage on Friday, July 26, 2015 at 5 p.m. at The Historical Drake House in Mount Pleasant, NC. Pastor Tom Hunter officiated.

The bride is the daughter of the late Anna Foil and Robert O’Neil Williams who were from Pilot Mountain. She is the granddaughter of the late Anna and Frank Richardson who were from Mount Pleasant, NC and the late Novice and Robert Williams who were from West Columbia, SC.

She graduated from Mount Airy High School and from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC. After retiring from the Surry County school system, she studied in the medical field at Surry Community College and received her Certified Nursing Assistant II. She is currently employed at Northern Hospital of Surry County, Mount Airy as a CNA.

The groom is the son of Julie A. Bray of Columbus, GA and the late Victor H. Bray .

The groom is the semi-retired owner of Pilot Mtn. Pines, Pilot Mountain.

The bride was given in marriage by Chief Warrant Officer 4, retired, Robert O’Neil Williams, Jr.

She wore a sage green Empire waist tea length dress. It was complimented by a matching green brocade three quarter length sleeve bolero jacket. The groom’s mother loaned the bride her antique natural pearl choker necklace which had been a gift to her from the groom’s father who bought the necklace in Japan and brought it home from the Korean War in 1953. Mrs. Alexa Shelton created the custom designed shoulder length veil with headpiece. The bride carried a bouquet of light green hydrangeas with a single blush rose.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Alexa Lassonde Shelton of Tobaccoville, NC, daughter of the bride. Mrs. Shelton wore a royal blue tea length dress with a sequinned bodice and flowing skirt. She carried a bouquet of pink and white peonies.

The flower girl was Abigail Foyle Shelton of Tobaccoville, NC, granddaughter of the bride. She wore an ivory taffeta dress with flowers in her hair.

Mary Bost of Mount Pleasant, NC, directed the wedding and reception.

Music for the ceremony was provided by violinists Alisa and Ella Beth Wickliss of Concord, NC and by soloist Allyson Bryne of Baltimore, MD, who performed a special wedding song that she had written for the occasion.

A reception followed the ceremony in the banquet hall of Saint James Reformed Church, Mount Pleasant, NC, where guests danced to the music of Eric the DJ of Charlotte, NC. The reception was catered by Chef Jeff and Co. of Concord, NC.

A pre-wedding dinner was given by the bridegroom for out of town guests at Lake Lynn Lodge in Concord, NC.

The couple took a wedding trip to the eastern Caribbean in a Haven penthouse suite aboard the NCL Getaway.

They will reside in Pilot Mountain.
