Jilted Bride Overcomes Cancelled Wedding With Charity

A man suddenly didn’t feel like getting married and called off his wedding with less than a week to go. The brave bride’s family changed the scenario to a genuinely upbeat one with a wonderful idea.

Quinn, the bride, was set to marry Landon, who abruptly got cold feet and didn’t want to go further. They had been engaged in April 2014 and were together for nearly 17 months. The bride’s family had arranged for a lavish $35,000 event to celebrate their lovely union. A feast had been planned in the Citizen Hotel, Sacramento, U.S.A.

Despite being heartbroken by the events that had transpired, Quinn’s family decided to liberate the negativity by not cancelling the feast. They invited the homeless instead to enjoy it.

The wedding feast had been meticulously planned for 120 special guests. The menu included gnocchi, salad, steak, and salmon with varieties of appetizers.

“I feel a lot of heartache and heartbreak for her, but I will take away something good from this,” says Quinn’s mother.

The devastated bride was utterly broken and did not take part in the event; Quinn’s parents, however, collected lots of blessings from the needy as they watched their new guests enjoy the gourmet feast.

The sincere move unburdened them, uplifting the sadness. The guests also expressed heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the unique celebration.

“When you’re going through a hard time and a struggle, for you to do something different with your family, it was really a blessing,” says a grateful guest, who was accompanied by his wife and five children.

Furthermore, Quinn’s mother is not cancelling the honeymoon either — she and her daughter will enjoy some quiet time on their trip to Belize.

That’s some amazing positivity, what do you say?
