THE This Morning team are gearing up for the wedding of the summer – the live marriage of two of the show’s viewers.

Fans of the ITV morning show will remember back in May that viewers Sonya Keating and Paul Brough were given the surprise of their life when Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield announced they had won an all-expenses paid wedding.

A new teaser promo for the live wedding has been unleashed.

Holly and Phil look beyond excited as they lead the celebrations – while Rylan Clark-Neal is dressed to lead the service.

Meanwhile Phil Vickery, Alison Hammond, Dr Ranj, Sharon Marshall, Alice Beer, Steve Wilson and Guide Dog puppy-in-training Luna are all among the audience.

The wedding location and further details of the big day are being kept firmly under wraps – however it is known Gok Wan will be helping Sonya pick her wedding dress, and Bryony Blake will be in charge of make-up.

Holly said: “Today we are filming the promo for our This Morning wedding… it’s our second This Morning wedding, the first one was a great success, a really lovely beautiful day, so this year we’re hoping to recreate the magic once again!”

While Phillip offered insight into the creation of the promo – and let’s hope the shambolic re-takes aren’t a bad omen.

“We - and all the team - have been very well behaved during this promo but every single time we clapped, Luna ran off!” Pip revealed.

“By the time we got to Take 27 I was desperately trying to bribe her with treats, she has put hair all over my trousers and slobbered all over me... so it’s been a bit unruly on her part, I think she got bored,” he explained.

“I’m also hoping they do not use the take where you can see I’ve got the treats in my hand!” he added.

This Morning’s Editor, Martin Frizell said: “The whole team are working hard at putting together our live wedding, and just as hard at keeping many areas a surprise for the couple!”

He added: “This promo is a fun taster to get everyone in the mood for the big day happening very soon.”

The promo will air for the first time on Monday’s episode of This Moring – and This Morning’s Live Wedding with Sonya and Paul will take place on Thursday 29th June, 10.30am on ITV.
