The National Health Authority (NHA) has rolled out the module for nurses on Health Professional Registry (HPR) under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). HPR already has a module for doctors from all systems of medicines and their onboarding. The incubation of nurse modules across different medicine systems is one step ahead to strengthening the healthcare of India.
Council members will verify the applicant and their enrolment. Moreover, NHA plans to enrol more categories of health professionals like Para-medicals, grass-root level community health workers (ASHAs), medical support staff, and allied healthcare professionals in the HPR.
HPR is a core building block of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Through HPR, healthcare professionals can onboard onto India’s digital health ecosystem and connect patients to healthcare providers or vice versa with last-mile coverage.
HPR covers both public and private facilities. From basic to financial, civil and medical infrastructure, HPR has all. Data gets updated by the Healthcare Professionals in ABDM.
The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) empowers the HPR to onboard healthcare professionals into India’s digital health ecosystem. It also connects patients to healthcare providers or vice versa with last-mile coverage. While adding such exciting features, security features are also not overlooked. In fact, NHA has added an extra clause to prevent security breaches.
The general public can view only those names approved by NHA and certified and authorized to practice medicine in the country. Furthermore, HPR ensures that only well-trained, qualified, competent and ethical compliance healthcare practitioners can register with HPR.
Healthcare professionals signing up for the HPR get digitally connected to the host of interoperable, digitally enabled services for operating digital health activities and service delivery. The HPR concentrates on citizen-centric and practitioner-centric platforms in compliance with global healthcare standards.
More and more healthcare facilities are adopting ABDM Compliant HMIS to enjoy digital Healthcare features. Hospitals can also make their HMIS ABDM compliant by installing supporting APIs or Plugins like AConnect and enjoy ABDM features in their personal HMIS.
